Studio Device Setup - Quick
Reference
Audio and Midi settings for each device in
the studio. This is mostly for my reference, but some gearheads may
find it interesting.
All midi
capable devices have two-way communication with the studio PC (when
practical).
Two Edirol
UM-880 8x8 midi interfaces (USB) handle two-way
communication with the PC (these are fantastic midi
interfaces)
I've decided
not to pre-wire the audio inputs on the synthesizers. It's
easier to just grab a cable and do it when needed rather
than pre-run all of the extra cables.
