Chincoteague 2002 - Beautiful Sites

Chincoteague
2002 index

These pictures are not perfect because they were taken in a hurry or from a moving boat (and we are not professional photographers), but they do show some of the wonderful Chincoteague sites we experienced.

A typical setting, but you will never take it for granted.

There was a settlement here in the 1800s, now it is untouched.

This lighthouse still helps ships find their way home at night.

The Sika deer are very small and have been
on Assateague island since the 1920s.

No commercial facilities are permitted on Assateague island.
A truly wonderful escape from typical beach crowds.

A Blue Heron prepares to hide from our view.
They are shy and hard to photograph.

An end to another beautiful day.
